Trois lieux de diffusion culturelle
Trois théâtres municipaux se situent à Ferney-Voltaire : Le Châtelard, Micromégas et La Comédie de Ferney.
Pour animer le théâtre La Comédie de Ferney, la Ville soutient notamment la compagnie Thalie, une association locale.

Théâtre Le Châtelard
Le théâtre Le Châtelard a été rénové et rééquipé par la Ville. Il a rouvert en 2019, en même temps que la médiathèque municipale avec laquelle il partage une entrée commune.

La Compagnie Thalie
Depuis 1994, La Comédie de Ferney accueille en résidence la Compagnie Thalie : formation de jeunes comédiens, organisation d'ateliers théâtre pour adultes et adolescents, création de spectacles. La programmation annuelle de la Comédie de Ferney s'appuie également sur la présentation au public de créations de diverses troupes de théâtre.

La Compagnie FOR
La Compagnie FOR, dont la direction artistique est assurée par Hervé Loichemol, propose des créations, commandes et éditions de textes, lectures, colloques, stages et interventions diverses (notamment dans le cursus d’art dramatique du conservatoire). Son objectif est d'apporter un regard actualisé sur le siècle de Voltaire et de le faire dialoguer avec le nôtre en éclairant sous un autre angle notre société.

L'association "Il était une fois une marionnette"
Avec des spectacles et des ateliers de fabrication de marionnettes, elle assure l’animation pour les plus jeunes, dans l’une des plus anciennes granges de Ferney-Voltaire (XVIIe siècle). L’association développe son activité en lien étroit avec les associations locales et les établissements scolaires.
