Depuis plusieurs années, les mobilités se modernisent à Ferney-Voltaire pour répondre aux besoins croissants des habitants :
Prévu pour fin 2028, le futur Tram des Nations permettra de relier Ferney-Voltaire et le Grand-Saconnex au centre de Genève.
Ce projet s'inscrit dans une volonté de repenser la mobilité transfrontalière, en intégrant plusieurs parkings relais, des pistes cyclables, des pôles d’échanges multimodaux pour un territoire plus accessible et respectueux de l’environnement.

Un pont entre deux pays
Le parcours du futur tram des Nations
Le tram des Nations n° 13 reliera la place des Nations de Genève à Ferney-Voltaire
sans changement.
Le tracé : Il circulera le long de la route de Ferney et franchira l’autoroute grâce à un nouveau pont dédié aux mobilités douces. Il empruntera le tunnel et la douane de Ferney-Voltaire. Son trajet se poursuivra en direction de la place des Lumières, puis à travers les futurs quartiers de la
ZAC. Il terminera son parcours au carrefour du Bisou, à proximité du projet immobilier Garden Park. Il longera l’allée de la Tire et s’arrêtera à 500 mètres de l’Hôtel de Ville.
À Ferney-Voltaire, le tram bénéficiera d’un parcours complémentaire à celui du
bus à haut niveau de service qui circule dans la partie est de la ville, le long de l’avenue du Jura.

Accéder au tram depuis la France
Pays de Gex agglo, qui mène les travaux côté français, a prévu :
- un parking relais de 300 places environ (500 places à terme)
- une vélo-station de 100 places environ
au niveau du terminus du tram côté français, au carrefour du Bisou. Les automobilistes et les cyclistes pourront y stationner, puis prendre le tram direction Genève.

Renforcer l'interconnexion
Le tram passera au-dessus de l’autoroute A1 grâce à un nouveau viaduc où il fera un arrêt devant l’actuel parking P47 de l’aéroport.
Ce viaduc sera connecté à une plateforme d’échange multimodale : le tram 13 et les bus 60 et 61 partageront un quai commun. L’accès à proximité des bus 8, 23, 66 sera facilité.
Un grand parking-relais de 700 places sera construit à la place du P47, une station-vélo de 100 à 200 places sera également réalisée.
La gare routière pour les lignes internationales, actuellement au centre-ville de Genève, sera à terme transférée au futur pôle d’échange multimodal du P47. Connecté à l’autoroute et situé à 5 minutes de l’aéroport et de sa gare CFF, ce pôle deviendra ainsi un véritable carrefour multimodal pour les usagers avec des espaces d’attente et d’information facilitant la transition entre différents moyens de déplacement.
