La mise en œuvre de la politique de la Ville vise à réduire les inégalités entre les quartiers et à améliorer les conditions de vie des habitants.

1300 territoires sont concernés par la politique de la Ville.
Le choix du quartier « Levant-Tattes » dans notre commune s’est fait selon le revenu annuel par habitant par rapport à la densité de population.
Un contrat, un engagement
Le contrat de ville formalise les engagements pris par l’État, les collectivités territoriales et les autres partenaires de la politique de la Ville au bénéfice des quartiers prioritaires. Il est élaboré par ces derniers, les habitants et les associations du quartier pour une durée de 6 ans, de 2015 à 2020 et prorogé de 2020 à 2023. Il vise :
- le développement social, culturel et sportif, et la lutte contre le décrochage scolaire,
- les interventions sur le cadre de vie : la citoyenneté, la sécurité, la santé et la rénovation urbaine,
- le développement de l’emploi et des activités économiques : soutenir l’apprentissage professionnel, faciliter l’accès aux droits ainsi qu’à la recherche d’un travail.
Parmi ces initiatives, une attention particulière est portée aux parents et aux jeunes. L’aide à la recherche d’emploi est un axe prioritaire du contrat de ville.

Les projets de rénovation urbaine
Parallèlement au contrat de ville, le quartier « Levant-Tattes » connaît de nombreux changements :
- Rénovation des habitations,
- Réaménagement des aires de jeux pour enfants,
- Extension de l'école Florian,
- Création d'une salle polyvalente d’environ 240m2 à vocation principalement sportive pour les élèves, habitants et associations.
