Parc de l’abbé Boisson

Le parc de l’abbé Boisson se situe entre la rue de l’Église et l’avenue Voltaire. Il est accessible par la rue de l’Église, par la place de la Comédie, par le parking de l’école Jean-Calas et par les terrains de boule et de pétanque (1 avenue Voltaire).

Autour d’une grande plaine enherbée se situent des tables de pique-nique et des bancs, une fontaine avec de l’eau potable, ainsi que deux aires de jeux, pour les tout-petits et pour les plus grands.

Parc de la Tire

Le parc de la Tire est le plus grand parc urbain du Pays de Gex, situé entre la route de Prévessin et la rue de Meyrin.

L'allée de la Tire - allée centrale du parc - est le lien naturel et l’axe historique entre le château de Voltaire et les bois de la Bagasse. Elle est aménagée en pente douce sur toute la longueur du parc et accessible à tous.

Des deux côtés du parc, les allées nord-sud accueillent un parcours de santé ponctué de modules pour effectuer des exercices sportifs. Le parc comprend également un city-stade, une aire de jeux pour enfants ainsi que des tables de pique-nique. Un parc à chiens se trouve dans la partie basse du parc.

Espace naturel sensible

Depuis 2014, le site « Bois Durand et Perdriaux, étang de Colovrex »  est labellisé Espace naturel sensible (ENS). Véritable poumon vert à Ferney-Voltaire, cet ENS est situé entre l’aéroport de Genève et le centre-ville de la commune.

Les boisements et zones humides du site « Bois Durand et Perdriaux, étang de Colovrex » abritent une multitude d’espèces animales et végétales à protéger.

Des espaces arables sont mis à la disposition des habitants de la commune pour cultiver légumes, petits fruits ou fleurs destinés à la consommation familiale.

Démarche participative

La gestion des potagers urbains est assurée par l'association Cultive ton jardin, avec laquelle une convention a été signée.

Les terrains sont aménagés par la commune. Tout en s'assurant du bon usage des parcelles et de l'équipement mis à disposition, l'association a en charge l'exploitation des lieux par ses adhérents, habitants de Ferney-Voltaire. Elle permet également aux jardiniers de recevoir des formations collectives touchant au jardinage et de partager des moments festifs et conviviaux.
